My Official Candidate Presentation: The Journey Ahead for West Rural St. Andrew

Share this post:

It is no secret that I have been working in the West Rural St. Andrew constituency for the last couple of years. The mission has been two-fold in focus. Team PNP and I are aiming to grow the PNP's footprint in the constituency and champion the much-needed change we intend to implement as we work to form Jamaica's next government.

This year (2025), Jamaica is constitutionally due to have general elections. As such, the PNP is strategically putting forward its official roster of candidates to compete in the said coming elections. Each candidate is being presented in their constituency of representation with the help of the PNP Party President and Opposition Leader, Comrade The Honourable Mark Golding, and other key members of the party’s infrastructure.

With that said—it is my turn.

I, along with Team PNP and the Friends of West Rural, invite all constituents to join us for my official candidate presentation on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Golden Spring Community Centre. We kick off at 6 PM sharp!

This event is not just symbolic—it is a reaffirmation of my commitment to serve the people of West Rural St. Andrew with integrity, transparency, and love. As we prepare to take this next step together, I am both honoured and energised to have the backing of our Party Leader and an incredible slate of comrades who will be joining us in fellowship and solidarity.

The evening will feature greetings from several outstanding party members and community leaders, including:

  • KSAMC Councillor Kintyre – Vivienne Brown-Bond
  • MP Candidate for NW St. Andrew – Ethnie Miller-Simpson
  • PNP Region 3 Chairman – Dennis Gordon
  • PNP Culture Spokesperson – Deborah Hickling-Gordon
  • Former MP and PNP Candidate – Junior Robinson
  • His Worship, Mayor Andrew Swaby

There will also be speeches from key voices within the People’s National Party, including:

  • PNP Women's Movement – Patricia Duncan Sutherland
  • PNP Health Spokesperson – Dr. Alfred Dawes
  • MP for SE St. Andrew – Julian Robinson
  • PNP General Secretary – Dayton Campbell
  • PNP Chairperson – Dr. Angela Brown-Burke

This moment is a defining one—not just for me, but for all of West Rural. It is a call to come together, to listen, to share, and to rally behind a vision that places people at the centre of development.

Join us. Let us walk this road together—towards better representation, stronger communities, and a brighter future.

See you this Sunday!
