Walk the Talk: Team PNP is Building a Solid Foundation in West Rural St. Andrew

In West Rural St. Andrew, the winds of change aren’t blowing from boardrooms or press conferences—they’re rising from the ground up, through real conversations with real people. As the PNP’s MP candidate, I, Joan Gordon-Webley, have been leading a series of listening tours throughout the constituency. Each one reinforces my campaign’s foundation: People First.

These walk-throughs have been more than symbolic. They’ve been deeply instructive, offering clarity on the issues our communities face and helping shape the practical solutions I am putting forward. The feedback I’ve received has helped sharpen not only our action plans, but also affirm the four values that guide everything I do: Tolerance, Respect, Integrity, and Love (T.R.I.L.).

One of the most energizing moments of the campaign so far took place on Sunday, January 12th, 2025, when I had the honour of being joined by our Party Chairman, Dr. Angela Brown Burke, for a high-energy “Walk & Talk” across several key districts: Airy Castle Road, Bowden Hill, Lane Pass, Lawrence Tavern Square, George Mason Drive, Cuba Ridge, and Golden Spring.

The energy? Incredible.
The mood? Love.
The people? Ready.

At every stop, residents came out not just to see us, but to speak with us. And I made them a promise: if elected, I will not disappear into Parliament or policy meetings. I will remain present, engaged, and accessible—walking the road with them, not just for them.

“Unlike others, I will remain PRESENT if given the chance to represent their interests.”

The walk ended at the WRSA Football League Finals at Golden Spring Primary School, and what a day it was. Peaceful, powerful, and full of the kind of community spirit that reminds us what we’re working toward. Activities like these are important—not just for recreation, but for rebuilding trust and bringing neighbours together again.

These listening tours are only the beginning. They are a living commitment to put people at the centre of leadership, to ensure that our policies reflect their voices, and to build a future that we all can be proud of.

West Rural St. Andrew, the time come.

Stay with me as I continue to share insights from the campaign trail. The journey ahead is bright—and it’s one we’re walking together.
